Epoxy is a stronger, harder and more durable
than the usual polyester resin or fibreglass
model.
The majority of epoxy’ son the market is vacuum
bagged or "Pop Outs". These "pop out’s", while
durable do not have timber stringers in them
and can be stiff while surfing, as the surfboard
does not flex while riding as desired. Our boards
are hand shaped and hand glassed with timber
stringers in the board. This allows it to still
be strong and durable, but still lets the equipment
flex on the wave and thus transfer energy while
riding.
There are production team that produces a range
of to cover all elements of surfing from beginners
through to intermediate, experienced surfers
wanting to add a fun board to their quivers.
For beginner or first time surfers a range of
Soft or ETL (Entry Level) Surfboards in sizes
from 6ft, 7ft, 8ft and 9ft are produced. These
are ideal starting place for new or learning
surfers as they are hand shaped, with a soft
PE coloured top deck and a slick underside with
flexible rubber fins.
For novice and intermediate surfers, a range
of fully hand shaped and handmade Epoxy fun
boards are produced. These boards range in sizes
from our 6ft Dart board, all the way through
the Mini mal range to Long boards at 9'1", 9'6"
and 10'2".
Another range of surfboard has been handmade
called Epoxy Fish. Epoxy Fish boards has greater
floatation, wider and flatter lines are perfect
for days when the surf is smaller with less
power in the wave. The Fish Surfboard is fast,
manoeuvrable and very lively in its handling,
but can still be surfed in all conditions from
2ft wind swell to 6ft clean faces.
Kite boards, the one with the highest performance
surfboard and made by hand shape with extra
reinforcing to the top decks that allows the
board to be surfed on a wave when being towed
by a kite in higher winds. The Kite-board comes
standard with high performance "Glass" fins
and nylon deck mounts for the addition of pads
and foot straps. Kite boards can still be surfed
as a normal board when the winds have dropped
not allowing for the flying of kites.
